FAQ
- Q. When, where and how long is your next group training class?
-
A. Two classes are forming now. One for puppies (9 weeks to 6 months of age) and an adult dog class for dogs over 6 months of age.
All classes are taught at LaunderPet - Seal Beach, 318 Main Street.
The next class meets every Saturday, starting April 3, 2010 and the class goes for 6 weeks. (rain may delay graduation)

- Q. My dog is crazy! Which is better, group classes or private sessions?
-
A. It really depends on your dog and how "crazy" they really are. Many times it's helpful to expend some of that "crazy" energy BEFORE doing any type of training.
Group classes are more affordable, yet they present their own challenges as well. Other dogs and their owners can provide distractions for those dogs who have not learned "focus". This can make it nearly impossible for them to perform even known cues
Private sessions are done in the privacy of your own home, on a day and time of your choosing. There are less distractions and the lessons can be customized to meet your specific needs.
If your dog is aggressive, in any way, you will need specific training and guidelines to follow before you should attempt a group class. The same is true for fearful, under-socialized or shy dogs. A group class setting may more than they can handle in the beginning .
